Mattie Tucker Joyner

    

Mattie Tucker Joyner is a multi-hyphenate performer, choreographer, and teaching artist based in New York City. After graduating in May 2017 from the University of Oklahoma's Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre, Mattie made the move to the east coast and settled in NYC. Currently, she studies voice/song coaching with Dan Micciche (current MD of Wicked on Broadway), and Carrie St. Louis. Regionally, Mattie has performed in multiple seasons at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, The Fireside Theatre, Virginia Musical Theatre, Broadway Rose Theatre, and with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. Some of her previous roles include "Katherine Plumber" in Disney's Newsies, "Jovie" in Elf: the Musical, "Lois Lane" in Kiss Me, Kate, and "Snow White / Mary Poppins" in Disney's When You Wish. Her directing and choreography credits include The Music Man at Interlochen Arts Camp, and most recently Little Women at Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, CT. In her free time, Mattie enjoys going on long runs through the streets of New York City, and spending time in the kitchen cooking with her fiancé and their watchful, sweet pup, Sunshine!
